Manawa ora Matua Paul, We are selling our frozen salt free frozen freshies for $35 per bird plus freight. They are super tasty roasted rather than boiled, they go so crispy and reka 🙂 We won’t be dispatching Tītī until the first week of June when we return from Poutama 🙂

    Ata mārie,
If I wanted to order 2 or 3 single Titi how much would the freight be for those. Also I am from Bay of Islands, Northland, how long will the buckets last up here, it’s much warmer than Rakiura.

Manawa ora Whaea, freight for single vacuum packed Tītī is charged at $17 for up to 8 birds. Here is some information about how to care for your buckets:
Care of buckets of Mutton Birds:
Buckets of Titi do not need to be kept in a chiller. We preserve them in salt, which pickles the birds. It is best to rotate your bucket to prevent the top mutton birds drying out and going mouldy. However if this does happen it’s okay, just wipe the mould off with a dry clean rag, nobody will get sick.
To rotate the bucket, keep it up right for a week and then upside down for a week. Be careful though as once the bucket has been opened it may leak when you turn it upside down, in which case a bit of duct tape around the seal should prevent this.
Some people prefer to individually wrap each bird in gladwrap and freezing them. This is fine but not necessary. They may start to get freezer burn after a year.
Titi when stored in the bucket and kept in a cooler part of the house like a garage will last forever if the bucket is rotated.
      I hope this helps 🙂
